Polf is centered around the juxtaposition of the supernatural and the mundane. As such, the project uses classic folk style songwriting and melding it with modern synth production, injecting a sense of mystery to a “straight forward” art form.

As a multiracial kid who grew up in a religious household, I am constantly interested in the juxtaposition of opposing forces, and this is what drives Polf. In the minutiae, the intersection does not have as much conflict as we assume. In fact, if we are open and honest, we can see ourselves in opposing views. Polf is about this harmony – telling the story through music of how personal conflicts nestle into a sense of serenity.
